Over the past weekend, two commanding officers in Region Twelve were honored with flag level promotions.  Bea Hart (USS Sunflower) was awarded the rank of Rear Admiral, in recognition of time in service and maintaining an attitude consistent with the ideas and goals of Star Trek and STARFLEET.  Jay Hurd (USS Chicago), was awarded the rank of Fleet Captain, in recognition of time in service and maintaining an attitude consistent with the ideas and goals of Star Trek and STARFLEET.

Regional Coordinator VAdm. Higdon extended his congratulations to both officers via the R12 Email list earlier today.  Both promotions were effective on Friday, April 24th, 2009 as awarded by STARFLEET.
