Edward Allen, Jr. - Alumni of the USS Horizon, father of Rear Admiral Eddie Allen, III, and a Veteran of the u.S. Army serving serving World War II, passed away April 30th, 2010. Vice Admiral Dwain Gleason - Alumni of the ISS Royal Sovereign and a former Vice Commander, STARFLEET, passed away on June 2nd, 2009. Captain Kelly Cohoon - Alumni of the former Region 12 chapter USS Mystique, passed away at the home of her parents on May 24th, 2009. Rear Admiral Carolyn Zimdahl - First Officer of the USS BortaS, a Director of STARFLEET Academy and the Region 12 Awards Director, passed away on March 29th, 2009. Captain Pat Canada - Former First Officer of the USS Morning Star, died 2006 while still on active duty, after suffering for several years with multiple health problems, including lupus. Commander Al Turner - Originally aboard the USS Horizon, NCC-1000-A, and later transferred to the USS Arlington. One of the best artists around. Passed away in 2005 Rear Admiral Rick Giles - Founding Commanding Officer of the USS Delta Clipper based in Atchinson, Kansas, passed away May 31, 2004.
